Bar Wars 2007
Once a year, Bar Wars games are held on St. John. It is a competition between multiple teams representing the local bars and restaurants. The playing field, a beach of course! As far as i could make out, Here's how it goes. Each team consists of about six or seven people. A round is played by two teams, each running a course in tag-team fashion. First a swimmer from each team must swim out to a float, using a "boogie board". On the float there is a ball for for each swimmer. They must bring the ball and board back to shore.
Back on land, they run, with the ball to a bar setup were they must mix a margarita while holding the ball. The drink is put on a tray and given, with the ball to a "waitron". The waitron must pass through two suspended hoops and serve the drink to a waiting "customer" (team member). The customer belts the Margarita as fast as possible, takes the ball and tray and runs back to the bar with diving flippers on thier feet.
The ball is handed off to the bartender who must then open and pour four beers into plastic cups on the tray. The runner becomes a waitron and must carry the beers and the ball through the two hoops (sans flippers) and serve them to four teammates. The waiting teammates pour the beer down their throats, one player at a time (very messy). The round is done when the last beer is gone. After several rounds each, the team with the best time wins.
